About this service

What you can expect.

Before starting Mounjaro or Wegovy, NICE and prescriber guidance requires a structured eligibility assessment. We do this in a 15-minute pharmacist consultation – no commitment to start treatment.

Eligibility generally requires BMI ≥30, OR BMI ≥27 with a weight-related condition (high blood pressure, high cholesterol, prediabetes, sleep apnoea). The pharmacist takes height/weight, asks about medical history, and confirms suitability on the day.

What BMI do I need?

Generally BMI ≥30, or BMI ≥27 with a weight-related condition. We check this at consultation.

Will I definitely get a prescription?

No – eligibility is clinically assessed. About 85% of patients who meet BMI criteria are prescribed; some are deferred or referred onward.

How much does treatment cost after?

Mounjaro from £210/month; Wegovy from £225/month. Includes monthly pharmacist follow-up.
