Transmission

Tetanus enters through wounds contaminated with soil. Diphtheria spreads via respiratory droplets and skin contact. Polio spreads through contaminated food and water. All three are vaccine-preventable.

Geography

Tetanus is a worldwide risk. Diphtheria circulates in parts of Asia, Africa, the South Pacific and former Soviet states. Polio remains endemic in Afghanistan and Pakistan, with outbreaks in several African countries.

Immunity

If it’s been 10 years or more since your last tetanus/polio booster, and you’re travelling to a region where these diseases are still active, you need Revaxis. Bring any vaccination record you have.
No – Revaxis combines all three. For travel to Afghanistan or Pakistan, WHO recommends an additional polio booster within 12 months of departure if your last dose was longer ago.
