How to refer

1

From your clinical system

Send a Pharmacy First referral from EMIS / SystmOne using the branch ODS code below - or direct the patient to walk in; no referral is required for them to be seen.

2

By phone or NHSmail

Call the branch and we’ll take the details - useful for same-day cases or where you want a pharmacist to call the patient back. Or email the branch’s NHSmail address below.

3

What happens next

The pharmacist consults under the national Pharmacy First clinical pathways and the outcome is recorded back to the patient’s GP record in the usual way.

What we take referrals for

Pharmacy First - all seven national pathways with the standard age criteria. Each chip below opens the live booking slot for that pathway, so you can book on a patient’s behalf or send them the link directly:

Also: NHS blood pressure checks, NHS contraception (initiation & continuation), New Medicine Service, and seasonal NHS flu and COVID vaccination for eligible patients.

Practice managers: to arrange a standing referral pathway, a visit from our pharmacist team, or supplies of referral information for reception, call your nearest branch and ask for the pharmacy manager.
