How it works

Three steps from request to ready.

STEP 1

Order on the NHS App

Open the NHS App, choose your repeat medication, and send the request to your GP. It takes about 30 seconds.

STEP 2

We prepare it

Once your GP approves it and we receive it, we usually have your prescription ready the same day — stock permitting.

STEP 3

Collect from your branch

You'll see "Ready to collect" in the NHS App. Pop into any of our four Oxford branches and we'll hand it over.

Turnaround

Same-day, most of the time.

For medications we hold in stock — which is almost everything we dispense regularly — your prescription is usually ready the same day we receive it from your GP.

If something needs to be ordered in, the typical turnaround is 24–48 hours. We'll text or call you the moment it lands.

No NHS App? You can still order through your GP.

Order through your GP surgery directly, or via your GP's online system (Patient Access, SystmOnline, MyGP etc.). Once your GP processes the repeat, it comes through to us the same way — pop into any of our four Oxford branches to collect.
